    USB ports stopped working

I have the Orion Pro with Finless 1.2 ROM. Suddenly today the airmouse (tronsmart tsm01) stopped working and I thought it was the battery. Charged it. But it just flashed green even after the reset of the remote.
Then I tried another airmouse with another wifi-dongel but nothing happened. Finally I tried wired mouse in all usb ports but no one seemed to work.
The wifi dongels where very warm when I took them out. I rested the Orion for an hour to cool it down but the same issue, no ports worked. The IR port for the "standard" remote works but it is extremely unuser friendly.
Anybody has a suggestion on what it might be?!

Until you get it worked out, you can use the Rkremote(or other)
app on a phone or tablet to control the box. It offers fairly good control(and a keyboard) vs the IR remote. I hope you get it worked out otherwise.
    Good luck.

The RKremote app will work on rk3288 boxes. Many firmwares include the feature on RK3288 boxes, such as Ugoos(UT3(S)). I don' t know if this is included with Finless' ROM or not. It shows up as ehome media server or something similar. I'm not with my UT3 at the moment, so I'll check when I get back tonight. If your tablet or phone is on the same network as your TV box, when you run this app on them, it will find the server on the box, if firmware has the feature. Easiest way to find out, try the RKremote app. It is made for controlling Rockchip SOCs.
II hope it works for you. It works well and will do till you get your USB ports back.
        Update
The sever shows up as, "eHomeMediaCenter", in the RKremote app. On my UT3, eHomeMediaCenter shows up in the app drawer.

Thanks RISCy Dude I'll try that when i get home from work. I think it has that eHomeMediaCenter app in the Finless ROM.
But what do you think, should I make an complain to Geekbuying for that?! I bought it 140818.

Because of the USB, did you also tried the microUSB port?
The full size USB ports are connected via an USB-HUB at the pcb to the SoC, but the microUSB port is connected directly to the SoC. Maybe there is something wrong with the internal USB-HUB?

Regarding the USB ports, before going to Geekbuying, I would think you need to confirm it is a hardware failure. Does your PC recognize the box when connected via the Android Tool? Keep in mind that I do not own one of the your boxes, so I cannot really be much help. If you believe the USB ports have a hardware failure, I guess you should check with GB. I am not familiar with their return/service policy. I hope you get it worked out.
              Best wishes.

You mean the OTG port!? I shall try that then. Thanks.
