You probably have M8 not M8N ...? This is just released..anyone tried on their M8N???

do not use this software on M8 or other clone boxes, otherwise you will have such issues

Just wondering why the zip contains uboot.bin file and aml script file...??
Is it necessary to include this files when flashing as normally u would only need 3 files update_parameter , recovery, update.zip.. thanks..im just confused and weary might brick my M8N?? @acemaxtech can u pls. Answer??

ya that round remote really is a crappy remote... ENY put that one with my last order of M8S's and its been nothng but grief... at least Acemax bundles the one with the 4 colored buttons on it which I find a much better remote... I was expecting the same one Acemax uses with my last ENY order because they show the square one with the colored buttons with the sales ad but that's not what I got... ive found that round thing even once you get the remote.conf tuned the way you want to be inconsistent as far as the beam window seems... some of them seem to have are real narrow beam and is really picky about how you point it at the tuner where as others seem better but that square remote ive never had any issues with other then maybe having to correct the remote.conf to the proper file based on the firmware your trying to use It on...

normally I just use the 3 files as well and find sometimes Eny's crap software is bundled the same way with the extras and never really understood that either... ive not got any Acemax units but am wondering if both them and Eny are using the same software at times...

I was about to the the first method by adding the recovery and factory file with the remote zip file but decided to use the "UPDATE&BACKUP" app within Android 4.4.2. Turn out that method wiped everything back to default to install just the stupid remote. I'm not sure if it I didn't select Wipe Media or Data would have kept all my stuff I have install. I guessed it's not the same as wiping dalvik cache.

Yeah the round remote is terrible. I also bought another usb remote with the pointer and it's also terrible and hard to point at the tv screen while looking at your remote to see you are pressing the right button. I ended up usually using a wireless usb for the keyboard and mouse combo and using the round remote for the special buttons when needed. But the only problem is that all the firmware so far have serious lag problem with the wireless usb mouse.

hi, you can also delete that 2 files when you do updating.

Now after thinking about it those files are probably there for you to use if for some reason the units uboot partion gets fudged... having those extra files would probably help you getting your unit back into working condtion but for just the update itself really aren't needed... I should posted that in my original post rather then getting caught up with the crappy remote yap... sorry musta been a brain-fart...
