    N80 RK3188 RileyROM 1.0

    Here is a custom ROM for the Vido (Yuandao) N80 RK3188 tablet.

    This ROM is rooted with 2gb user app space. Also included are Google Play Store fixes, init.d support and debloat.

    Thanks to Tattman65 for his usually great boot graphics.
    Thanks to Petrus for his Reboot app.
    Thanks to the whole Freaktab developer team for support.

    thank you for the rom

    however i need help in rooting my n80 although i followed the instructions and the usb driver installed, the tpsparkyroot unable to detect my device..

      Follow the instructions in the readme file. Once you flash this ROM you will be rooted.

        awesome. will do it and revert. tanx !!

        UPDATES : rom flashed fine. however when going thru the tablet, i have alot of android.process.media error esp going to play store. hard to update the apps with store fc. updated my play store to latest 4.0.* . still persist with download error 421. does it got to do with storage? even if i tried downloading thru chrome, error 421 popup.

          I apologize for waiting so long to get back to this ROM. I just lost track of this thread for some reason.

          Anyway, I discovered a newer version of the official firmware and decided to add some more tweaks to ensure that Google Play Store will work...hopefully.

          Here is the link to the ROM:

          Please try it. It's late, but if you have any luck, I will make a new thread for this new version.

          Please wait until after 0100 USA Central time on 7/26/13 to download. It is still uploading as I'm writing this thread, but I'm goin' to bed before it finishes.

            Hi, all, I appolozise in advance if these are at wrong place.

            I got N80RK this week from geekbuying.com and it was all in chinese including the instruction manual.the tablet is working fine and was able to get in english but it still has lot of chinese bloatware which i want to get rid of.
            I need your guidance to flash (your )rom on to my new baby.
            The tab is currently on stock rom of march 2013 and it came with 4.1.1 jelly bean. could you assist me to upgrade or direct me how can I update it.

              The first time to flash is tricky. So we put together a First Time User's Guide...it should be in the ROM kit, if you have downloaded it yet.

              Read that and the readme file carefully before you begin. All of the fuss is about getting the Windows drivers loaded properly. Follow the steps in the guide, because if you freelance...you might not be able to flash.

              Enjoy!!!!!

                Awesome ,was able to flash ROM and update to the newer and flashy 4.1.1.thank god ,got rid of Chinese bloatware
                Cann't wait upload more apps.the best part was the guideline were simple and precise,was able to load rock chip USB drivers 2nd attempt itself.from there after it was easy.Thanks a lot for your guidance and ROM.

                  which version of XBMC that i can upload on N80RK. Any of you guys have working APK that i can use it. the official version I am not able to use on the tablet as I keep getting error meesage and does not load at all.
                  can any body guide me please. thanks

                    I don't have ANY experience with XBMC on tablets...I will defer to the other users on that question.

                      Rom is top class, i am really enjoying it. no lagging and best of all the "read me first" notes while loading rom instructions are simply educative for any new comers like me.I only got this tab a few days back but was following the forum quite some time.
                      i am not sure it is too early to say but i find my battery is draining in 4 hours continuous usage with games/music running on back ground.is it normal. is there any tweaks that i should do to extend the battery life.i know this tab has smaller battery(4000 or so ).
                      i will continue to follow the forum so that all good things happening i will be part of it.pls keep up the good work.

                          good day.
                          I was looking at ur new rom on "Mini one" based on 4.2.2 and users appreciation of that rom.
                          would please also update to N80RK also, it would be truely delightful.
                          I saw on other form (slatriod.com) that vido has released newer firmware and one of the user has uploaded the link. am not sure it is allowed to copy paste it. it that is any help to you.

                              Looking forward to see what you can do with vido's official release. Ppl on the chinese forums say it kindda sux, least thats what I gather from google translate. Anyways keep up the good work
