Bricked new Pipo X7S just by trying to switch to Android

Pretty sad story, if you ask me... and also a really short one.

I got my new Pipo X7S last night, I connected it to the TV and plugged in a wireless keyboard. It booted to Windows without problems, I created a local user, played a bit (maybe 15 minutes) in Windows, everything fine and dandy, then decided to click on the WinToAndroid link (or whatever it's called, don't remember exactly now) on the Windows desktop. It asked for some confirmation, went on to say some variable was set, and went blank - and stayed blank... I waited for a while, then unplugged it and plugged it again, then tried the same while pressing the reset button, got nothing - the red LED lights up but that's pretty much it.

Now, I went through a couple of related threads on the forum, it seems quite a few people are in a similar situation - but at least they fiddled with their BIOS settings. Well, I did absolutely nothing like that, I never even got a chance to open the BIOS - all I did was to click on the darn 'switch to Android' link on the desktop!

Anyway, does anybody have any idea about what could be done - short of sending it back or re-programming (with or without re-soldering) some chips from the mainboard?

    Thanks in advance

Any chance you just don't have video on the HDMI? Try different cable and TV.

These boxes seem so fragile. There seems to be a surprise at every turn.
I just ripped open my box from its package. Was hoping for the air mouse to arrive first but hooked a usb kb/mouse to it.

Thanks for the suggestion - but it doesn't help, it was one of the first things I've tried. Anybody, any other idea?

I still can hardly believe this thing can be bricked that easily. I guess most people don't have the same problem since I haven't seen any other identical complaints - probably different version of firmware and/or software. However, the simple fact that Pipo can put out a version where not even the happy flow was tested is extremely disturbing... I mean the selling point of X7S is precisely the dual OS capability, and not only it doesn't work - it completely bricks the device.

Still waiting for any suggestion, folks.

        Thanks a bunch

Did you try holding in the reset button for 5-10 seconds? Try it with and without the power supply hooked to it also.

Could be a video output issue with Android. When it boots the dual boot screen defaults to the last chosen OS. Try booting it and pressing the right arrow and enter (wait 10-20 seconds after powering on). That should boot windows... Maybe...

Try different monitor.. Could be resolution not supported by monitor..
