just purchased a matricom gbox q. I am going to return it. I have a budget of $130usd What should i get!

So i got my Gbox q set up and a LOT of the streaming android apps dont work (youtube kids, pbs kids, etc) and from what i have read it seems to be an issue with the chipset in the box. I purchased the box for both KODI and android apps. KODI works okay. Bottom line is that im disappointed.

im looking for a box that i can control with a remote (harmony programmable smart hub) and mini wireless usb keyboard. But mostly remote, so i must be able to program a play, pause, fastforward, and rewind button on my harmony remote. i am willing to spend a little more if i have to.

    Thanks for your help guys.

You can get an HPH NT-V6B
    http://www.aliexpress.com/store/prod...048801593.html
or look in there store for one with a keyboard remote or without remote.
It is a little more expensive but well worth it.
Boots up in 10-15 seconds and has high speed Samsung EMMC storage.
Also comes with one of the best Android App Remotes by far.
Lollipop firmware will be released in mid June as well as Windows 10 support at the end of June or beginning July.
In around 2 weeks hardware accelerated video playback in Kodi for Linux will also be released by a developer on Freaktab for the box.
So then you can run 3 different operating systems on the box.
Send a message to the seller on there store or on Freaktab here to discuss more information and tax requirements for your country.

Here are instructions to get Harmony remotes working on RK3288 devices

Youtube also works perfect and in 1080p.

Awesome man thank you! Does hardware acceleration work with KODI on android? software acceleration is not very good at all.

4K video works perfect in SPMC hardware accelerated(http://www.semperpax.be/owncloud/pub...&id=Za7c7uitXV) Latest version always posted on freaktab first in SPMC section.
        Homepage - http://spmc.semperpax.com/ Older versions
It is basically Kodi Isengard Beta 1(currently) but with extra tweaks and improved video playback for RK3288 Media Players like NT-V6(B)
SPMC/Kodi starts up in 1 second.

I will release a new ROM for this device this weekend.
If there is something you want to add to firmware or notice a bug, the manufacturer fixes it very quickly if you report it.
An airmouse works very well with it, actually recommend it over an IR Remote.

It just has to be easy for my wife to use. That's why I prefer my harmony remote. I do have a mini rii keyboard with trackpad for some stuff..

I think I'm sold on it. No problems with streaming apps not working on Android?

Youtube, Netflix(DVD quality), Hulu, Filmon all work.
Only app I've heard not working is Xfinity Go but it also doesn't work on other TV boxes besides Google Nexus or Amazon Fire TV.
But with Lollipop firmware that support ARM Trustzone DRM it will hopefully work or can use Windows 10 web streaming in June.
