    Improve Wifi without Solder

My MK808B has had slow WiFi since I received it last year. Today, I decided to open the casing and leaving the antenna open and exposed, my WiFi speed increased from 3 Mbps to 20 Mbps. For reference my PC near the MK808B gets 80 Mbps over WiFi and the iMac next to the router gets 125 Mbps. I'm perfectly fine with 20 Mbps on the stick. I would love to find a way to leave the antennae permanently out without leaving the rest of the device vulnerable to dust. Is there a way to improve the WiFi without soldering? I have no experience soldering and have no access to a soldering iron or such tools. I appreciate any help. Thanks!

I would leave it open and periodically dust. You might also try getting any 2.4ghz recievers as far away with a USB extension cable.

      Try this crazy tip...
Grab any USB cable you no longer need. Leave the USB side in tact and cut away the other end. Take this open ended wire and plug it into your mk808 or whatever your using. Doing this drastically improved my connection. I'm not entirely sure why this works, but I'm guessing the copper in the wire has something to do with it. Although not necessary, you can take the extra step and strip away some insulation from the wire.

      I hope this helps.
