I've just released a RK3188 ROM for the Cube U30GT 2 based on cubes 1.05.


Cube u30gt 2 (1.05) 900supersport 1.1 ROM


Notes

• Flashing will delete everything on your Cube consider backing up first and remove any sdcard

Instructions

• Download and extract to a folder
• connect the tab to the PC (you did remove the sdcard)
• start the ROM flash tool
• put the tab into flash mode, the PC should detect it, see below for instructions
• install drivers if required
• erase idb
• flash, the ROM kit is correctly configured
• the tab should boot to recovery and format cache, data and sdcard (this will take a few minutes)
• the tab should now boot

Let me know how this goes.


So what do you get?

• defaults to english uk
• root
• some bloat removed
• busybox and init.d support
• play/market fixes for more apps in Google Play
• 2 gig app space (this is standard on the stock ROM)

Booting to Bootloader

• Power off the Cube
• hold Vol +
• After 3 to 4 seconds release Vol +
• The Cube should be detected by the PC.
• If you have not already installed the drivers now would be a good time. I've included the drivers in the ROM kit in the RockusbDriver folder.

I really like 4.2.2 myself, but have seen some criticism of the camera, battery and sound.

thats what i picked up too. so far a nice rom but still some things to figure out for cube to make a 4.2.2 based ron a final one.
i think there are driver problems with the built in components.
that possibly is the reason for the bad benchmark scores.

So i guess i'll go with the official one and a 4gb app partition. the fastest stable thibg out there it seems.

NOW I got my Cube in my hands. It is coming with V1.03 preinstalled.

Things that came to my mind:
- There are blisters under the display cover - I had to remove it to see if display itself has problems, but no
- Now Display CLEARLY has a better feeling and the image instandly becomes more crisp and deeper.
- I 100% advice to remove display cover (not the one with the advertising)
- tablet goes completely nuts when charging. it was impossible for me to navigate within google market.
- Power cutted and everyhing is fine.
- After flashing V1.05 tablet does behave normal when charging....one time phenomenon???

Remember....DO NEVER EVER Connect this thing to a USB3 Port!
I connected the tablet to USB3 ports I´ve got on top for easy access (LianLi PC-7FN Chassis)
It is a Windows7 Pro 64bit machine by the way!
Corruped recognizing repeatedly and drivers could not be installed. Since there are now Windows8 drivers included I got a feeling it was USB3. Connecting the tablet to a backside USB2 port everything instandly runs the way it is meant. Drivers for Win8 x64 were installed without any problem.

Now I was able to flash supersports ROM. I wanted a 4GB Partition so I renamed the parameter files to my need.

So what about the CWM now?

Hardware-Number V3 (do we all have this?)
CPU runs at only 1,6Ghz. 1,8Ghz can not be chosen...A tool to set the cpu to full power is missing.

Hi, yes i got about 16785 antutu points as well with 1.05 , you use supersport to flash CWM ? or rockchip flash tool ? what are benfits of CWM ? also would like to adjust to 1.8ghz , why was it advertised at 1.8ghz ?

Cube release a new open Beta 2013.05.07

Known imprements (Wifi...Video playback) but also there are several system optimizations mentioned.
Waiting for this one.
