    M8 1gb s802 chip-Openelec

    Hi Guys,

I've done some searching, and can't find the answer to my question.

Is there a good stable version of Openelec for the 1gb M8 box with the round remote?

I did find a version, but it doesn't seem to be very stable.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

the problem is OpenELEC doesn't support those boxes yet so you need to look around for someone private working on them... theres a Russian site that had a release but its not quite right either... other then that im not sure what else is in the public yet.... I know ive got the S812 and had one hell of a time trying to get openelec to work with that round remote... usb Logitech keyboard worked fine but that round remote is a royal pain in the butt... actually my neo x7 remote worked better with openelec then the S812 did out of the box... in the end I had to take a openelec build and add in a new project and make all the fixes myself and eventually just moved off to doing my own Linux setup specifically for the S812 and RK3288's as theres a few things I don't like about the way Openelec's build setup works... specifally the squash file system as its a total pain to develop on and try to make running edits on the box's config files without having to constantly unsquash and resquash the image off the box everytime you try and change a config setting or something...

I only know of builds for the 2G M8 it runs great but I don't know if I'd use it on the 1G it might be unstable.
