Dolby Digital Audio fix and Universal / harmoney IR remote fix (play, pause, fast forward, rewind, stop)

For those that don't speak Android TV box language (myself included) mo123 is referring to the "open hour" android tv box (link here http://www.cloudmedia.com/openhour/) ... This box comes with a fully functional IR (infrared remote) remote control so you can set up your harmony universal remote any way you want or any learning universal remote can be set up any way you want. The Good news is that the "open hour" TV box rom works perfectly on the "hph ntv6" android tv box, It also fixes my audio issues completely when i use this ROM in conjunction with SPMC (no dolby digital with kodi, i tested it), This even means the IR remote for the "open hour" works on the hph. So if you hate your hph like i did because it was impossible to get a dedicated play, pause, fastforward, and rewind button. This ROM is the solution. It's a really good ROM imo. When setting up your harmony remote you can program it as the "open hour chameleon" and most buttons will work as they should, the rest you can just fix with key map program in spmc.

Thanks to mo123 for pointing this out to me. You may want to pull this rom apart and put some bits into your custom roms. Namely the Remote control bits.

The remote part is part of the closed source kernel, no one has access to it except OH.
Maybe someone can follow this guide to get all the keys scancodes - http://www.androidsim.net/2012/11/ho...ys-to-any.html
Then I can try adding buttons that don't work or change them.

For the passthrough patch, I'm still waiting to get it.
To put bits of the ROM into mine will make it unbootable and you will loose HDMI-IN support, LeHome Assistant & incorrect voltages for different hardware(it won't blow your device up, but it's not 100% optimal).

So Pioneeer AV receiver now work correct, in SPMC, RKVideoplayer, MXPlayer?
Kodi doesn't support HD Audio on Android at the moment.

I only tested spmc. Didnt test any other apps. Yes you are correct the "open hour" Rom corrects the audio issues when usingmy pioneer vsx 520 av reciever.

We just need the numbers to work on an infrared remote so that we can program our universal remotes to our liking via sbmc keymap app. You might want to also consider sending information about your remote to harmony so that they can add it to there list of supported devices. Since MANY kodi users tend to use harmony remotes. hph Devices are not listed with harmony as a supported device. check it out https://support.myharmony.com/en/compatibility . ... however open hour chameloen is listed.

Have you tried flashing the resource.img from my v1.6 ROM or the stock ROM from April with this firmware?

Does LIRC work in android? (maybe that's what the link is about, I'm too lazy and busy to click it, LOL)

I recently bought an IR full keyboard from an old (Phillips I think?) web TV set top box for $1.60 at a thrift store and was planning to see if I could get it working with my R89. I actually did some googling awhile back and I think I found the LIRC map file for it. I'd either have to make one myself or try to find it again, now. When I found it I was standing in the thrift store googling on my phone :-)

I'm about to download your latest ROM and test!

            Cheers!
