Made an SD card and flashed 115k4 from tronsmart website fine on s89-h. And it didn't overwrite apps. Best update yet for me. And recovery is now working. And my USB ports. Random stuff.

So, the fw for the MX3, is compatible with s89-h ?
-just wondering what PCB version do you have? (If you know)
How is it working.. any known bugs solved? Or new bug found? How is the heat?

          Just thinking out loud..

This is interesting so the firmware for the s89h & the mx3 seem to be interchangeable or like Mitchell4you said, Could it be down to what pcb you have (Watching this space)

Yeah works fine. I have flashed it on an unbranded mxiii as well and it now says its a tronsmart box.
It fixed my broken USB ports as well. And didn't wipe, so was like a proper ota update.

PCB, not a clue I've had the box over a year, was one of the first or second batches from geekbuying.

Not sure who we have to thank for this... But, ever since Firmware 111k4 All of these "Updates" have been mostly AiO affairs. Meaning that at least in theory this same Firmware (such as it is!), can be installed on multiple boxes... Not just the One, as was the case pre 111k4 where installing a 2G (i.e. S89 Firmware), would pretty much brick a 1G Device.

EDIT: media.amplayer.widevineenable= (/system/build.prop) is still set to false! WHY?!
