    Windows 8 not detecting MK808B

I am trying to flash the Finless 1.7 on my MK 808 B but the windows 8 is not detecting my MK 808B. I enabled the connect to pc option, changed the storage mode to mass storage and tried turning ON/OFF USB debugging mode and still it doesn't work. Can anyone help me out please ?

Took me awhile aswell, try plugging the stick into your PC while having the reset button held down, release when plugged in, wait for the windows "ding".

It's only detecting as a USB storage and when I press (reboot to flash) it says "msc device can't upgrade" and it shows flash mode failed when I press (flash rom). I manually installed the drivers but windows 8 always says its the most updated driver.

That is because your not in flash mode!

Use the reset button to enter flash mode from a stock ROM.

Yes that's what I do, I press the reset button and then connect the USB OTG and I wait for like 10 sec.I never hear the ding sound, could it be that the windows 8 doesn't suppport the Mk808b drivers?

Windows 8 does in fact support the flash tool and there are win 8 drivers!

I think you have a bad USB cable or something like that. You ARE plugged in the OTG port and not the read power only port correct?

Yes I tried a different cable and I am using the OTG port, still having the same issue. I tried doing the alternate way by checking for pink and green light and that didn't work also.

Re: Windows 8 not detecting MK808B

I supose you maintain the reset button pressed while you connect the usb to OTG. I have installed Windows 8 x64 and no problems.

Boot into your BIOS on your PC and see what USB settings you have. Try to setup USB 2.0 compatibility and legacy support. If your PC cannot see the device in flash mode then it is going to be something like this.

You cannot even get the PC to recognize the device which is VERY STRANGE... it should bong or see some kind of hardware plugged in. Maybe try a rear motherboard USB port etc...
