cs918 restore

I have 2 cs918 media boxes 1 will not boot past the penguins on start up and the other keeps rebooting.trying to restore with Rk batch tool but it doesn't detect either box I'am using a usb to usb cable connected to ots cable . Any help would be appreciated .

Hi,and welcome

Well..
Try a "factory restore" first...
keep holding "reset" button (powerup device) till "recovery console" comes-up
(do a "wipe cache" and restore factory defaults")

Note..
There are about 26 versions of the Cs918, you need to check..what you have..prior to flashing any thing

Thankyou for your reply ! I do get the android come up on the screen but there is no options to wipe cache or factory defaults.... just looks like his dinner is spinning in his stomach

I'm trying to flash new firmware to the cs918's using the rk batch tool and firmware suypplied from the seller/importer i'm using a usb a to usb a cable into the otr cable but the program doesnt detect the media player..is there a special cable or something to program these boxes ?
