best of luck you should be fine, just make sure you use an ordinary 1:1 M to M USB not an OTG cable

      Hi again,

quick question: for the USB burning tools, do you leave the config to default, or is there any changes?

You sure that all the drivers have been loaded?? Even with the M8 not booting up (but powering up) - it should register with the PC and show in the list?

Pretty sure, I even reinstalled the USB Burning Tools just to make sure the worldcup driver is indeed installed. Also bought a fresh USB A-A cable, but this bloody thing would just not be recognised by Windows 7.

Do you know if I can short the pins or put some sort of jumper? Any suggestion is welcomed at this stage, would try anything before resorting to ask the supplier.

Thanks a lot for sticking around and help!

I didn't need to short out any pins. i only pressed the reset during power up?
It's posdible you unit is just plain shagged? i had a M8S that would not powerup properly (no blue light but LAN lights came on) this unit was returned

Not sure if totally shagged, as I can see this on boot (actually it's stuck there after everything I did), as well as the blue light.

Just wanted to update you that I managed to get it to unbrick... Just needed to restart the comp after adding the driver then it's automatically detected by the burning tools. Thanks for the guide mate!
