    Install from usr directory?

    Hi guys,

I'm testing out a new S812 box and rom. I'm trying to install some apps from the usr directory in the ROM but they don't install once the rom has been flashed.

In previous boxes I've tested I've never had a problem installing apps from that directory. I did notice though in the bin directory of other roms there is a file called "installApk.sh". This appears to run a script that installs the apks found in the usr directory.

In my new rom I don't have the installApk.sh file. I've tried copying it in but it still won't work. Is there anywhere I need to say "run installApk.sh" when flashing the rom, or have I missed something else?

You can install manually. Get es file explorer and click the apk to manually install. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately I need it installed when the firmware is flashed. Is there a file in the firmware that says "run these scripts..."?

Yes, there is a Way to Preinstall APK“s on Start-Up.
For this you need Support for it in Boot and System.
Can you share your Rom with me please?

Sure no Problem, I'll upload it when I get home. I can install from the "preinstall" directory but problem with that is I get the "Swipe down to exit..." pop up. Was hoping installing from the usr directory will solve this as I've never had an issue before.
