Hello Freaktab just orderd one of these units just wanted to know if these work with kodi 1080p smoothly with stock rom ? and also is there any custom roms we can load ? thanks

It all depends on the bitrate of the movies and if you play then locally or over the Lan.
Lan on most RK3288 is very slow so high bitrate 1080p will stutter no chance of playing 4K.
From my tests since i have a similar device ( Bluetimes Qpro ) the box can handle movies up to 8-9 MB/s over the Lan and around 35 MB/s over usb hard-disk
Generally Wired Lan, WiFi, USB perform poorly in comparison to a PC.
The best chance for watching a movie is via a usb hard-disk and probably increasing the XBMC/SPMC cache
