MXIII 2gb s802c with ap6234 wifi chip

I'm at a bit of a loss, I have an mxiii 2gb. I bought this box off Amazon and wanted to switch to openelec. Everything flashed fine but wifi wouldn't turn on. I've flashed a few different firmwares onto it(finless 2.0 and 2.1, amlinux, remix 115k4) with all the same results. The closest I've come is with remix 115k4, the wifi turns on, but stays on "Searching for Wi-Fi networks". The Ethernet connection has worked for every rom. I opened up the box and seen the wifi chip with the number AP6234.
I have contacted the seller asking for the original firmware and have received an email saying they will contact the factory but have not heard from them since.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the help, I'll try the suggestions in that post. Any rom with working wifi will be fine with me, linux or android.
I tried a 201k4 today with the same results, no wifi again.

No it's 3.10.33 it's the only one I've found that wifi actually works for me. Direct link to the file is below.

Try copying the kernel from the one that works, then overwrite non working kernels with it

why you still try the MXIII TV box? it sucks, now the TV Box market is under rapid development, like the RK3368 and Amlogic S905 tv Box are going cheaper, they have an edge over the old boxes, worth a try.

I thought Tinydeal sold MXIII/S802 TV box, I don't remember seeing "sucks" in their literature. Will "sucks" be used to describe the boxes you are pushing here in 6 months?

I've seen this question asked all over the boards, and I've never seen a real answer..

I have (like the original POST) a MX111 s802 2G with Ap6234 wifi android box. I have flashed a new firmware to it, and now my wifi does not work. Is there any way to just install the driver for the wifi? or does anyone know where i can get the proper IMAGE for it?
