s802 - s812 issues and tests

There seems to be allot of folks with issues lately with s812's - the matter is allot of dodgy co's are fudging the s802 with s812 logo's etc.

one way to test without cracking open your unit is to test h.265 file as the s802 will not play.

Thanks for the link. Though I don't own S802- S812 at the moment, this is still a good resource for other boxes.

There is also a addon for kodi named: testing files
Note.. kodi 15 plays h265..s/w on s802 / mxplayer also plays some files

Wouldn't looking at the Kodi System Info, where it describes the CPU chipset be sufficient ? Does anyone know what the expected value for a s812 vs a s80x would be?
