Best HTPC remote that works both in Windows and Android mode for X7/X7s?

I have been using the X7s for the last few weeks and have tried a few of my remotes on them. I have found that my Rosewill Windows 7 Media Center remotes with IR receiver works great in Win mode but in Android it doesn't work. I think the IR receiver isn't working with Android mode.

    So I bought a Aerb 2.4Ghz from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Aerb-Wireless-...Z27MZRMB6WFM4Q

This remote almost met all my needs but has a few quirks. 1. This remote won't wake up the Pipo from sleep in Windows or Android. This was the biggest problem for me and if I did wake the PC with power button the remote wasn't working and needed to do a full reboot. 2. There isn't a back button really in Android on the front of the remote. Since this remote senses when it's flipped over to keyboard I can press ESC key on the keyboard to simulate the Back key. It gets kind of irritating and looks like I am playing a Wii Tennis when using this remote.

The Aerb is nice though because you have 5 programmable keys which you can make TV power, Vol up/down, Input Selection, and I wish there was a way to program the ESC/back key on the front.

So I bought another remote. I got the Ortek from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Ortek-Windows-...A6F2K9ZVSKRSEB

This one seems to meet most of my needs. I can wake up the Pipo in both modes. Back key works. The only downsides are 1. Moving the mouse is slow using that circular pad but it does have right and left mouse click. 2. No keyboard. Since I don't need a keyboard I find that this remote is the best for me.

I would like to know what you guys are using for remotes. It would be great to find the perfect remote/keyboard that works in both modes. After modding the heatsink in my X7s this Pipo is Great! No more shut downs while playing videos.

That looks a lot like the Ortek that I got. I too think that this is the best remote so far, only thing is the receiver really needs to receive the signal directly. I am thinking of trying a FLIRC usb dongle next.

+1 for the K400 it's an excellent keyboard/mouse Combo for just about any media player box seen on Freaktab.
                Cheers

The Logitech Smart Control works on either side but it's not seamless. I also have a Rii i8+ which is backlit and works great on both sides. A FLIRC will also work. The reason the Smart Control is not seamless is you have to set up two different profiles. When you boot into Android from Windows you then run the Android profile. There must be a better way but just setting it up in Windows and booting into Android disables the remote.
