    MK808B - 1366x768 monitor, 1280x720 setting

I am new to the world of Android TV Stick devices, and chose Rikomagic MK808B for my first device.

My monitor has 1366x768 resolution and is connected via HDMI/VGA adapter; I set my MK808B to 1280x720 as the closest resolution offered; video quality is adequate but not as sharp as native 1366x768 mode.

Is there anything I can do to support 1366x768 directly on MK808B, for improved (sharper) image quality?

    Thank you very much

I have just got the mk808b yesterday from geekbuying (so I am new to this too). When I booted it up it already came preloaded with 4.2.2 and resolution of 1920x1080, I imagine that's an up-scaling because my tv max supports 1366x768. I manually selected 1280x720 setting.

But it would be good if I had a resolution option native to my tv (1366x768)

The only thing to change the standard resolution is modify the kernel , actually in mk808b models if you use a custom kernel you lost WiFi and bt

This is interesting for me also.... is it possible to get an MK808 kernel to have 1024x768 ? I'd like to use my native resolution to avoid 4:3<>16:9 issues... and also, better image quality of course by using native res.

I'm using Bob's 1.7c for my MK808.... how can that be done ?

Here there is a thread from poisonwolf too with some stuff, and about compile your own kernels I made a guide in this forum
