Andoer CS918 RK3188T // rk918 v1.20. bricked, need firmware!

hi there, am new to this forum....i hope you can help.

in the lower right corner is an rtl chip, but i cant figure out the labeling. (same at the other processors, to dark). i tried to make the sticker away from the cpu, but that was no sticker, its silvergrey, on the cpu and it cant removed only scratched.....i hope that this is only a kind of cooling and no transistors are damaged).

its bricked after trying to root it. with the usb connection you always had to switch usb memory on manual, otherwise you couldnt write on it (for pushing su or something like that). so i missed that, low level format worked, reboot too, writing on partition not. so it was pumped out.

some roms gave flickering glitches on the scart tv out (hdmi is just blank screen) (as the bootlogoloop, but with various grey glitches randomizing after a time, in recovery its a grey glitch 4:3 tv sized). some just booting up the glitch and shut down (power off) after a while.
the rk918 v.1.10 dump from the PCB-thread works till bootloop (shows the google ball).

there is no firmware by the manufacturer, cause its only a shop with no support.

recovery and flashing works, as the programm shows it (rk-batch-tool 1.7, android tool 2.3).
the indicator from the batchtool is green on layer 2-3.
the android tool shows "found one loader device" in recoverymode, but waiting for mask rom mode failed when trying to erase the flash.

hopefully that these scratching doesnt damaged something.... help!

I think i have a dump of the rom from a working one of these units. I'm just not sure how to compile it into a usable flash image. anyone have any thoughts?

Ok I will share. however because i am in canada my upload is ridiculously slow. Can someone advise the proper dump? When I went through mine I found that the block locations were different than the ones noted. I don't have it setup now or i would take a screenshot to show. I will do that tomorrow evening when i get a chance. I see it is using the 3188t chip wich is slower and hampering my retail value due to poor buffering and processing speeds i much prefer the faster 3188 chip.

Sorry i dont understood what you mean with "proper dump", my english is very poor(is not my native language ). I guess you have to zip the parameter file with .img files and upload for some server like mega.co.nz

Hi raeumler, you just used the rkbatchtool? What procedure did you use? Because I used only the rkbatchtool version 1.7 firmware and none of these work on my device, which is equal to yours, the second firmware work, but is only restarting the Linux screen. Can you tell me which programs you used, and what procedure to install the firmware you do?

i just used rkbatchtool 1.5en, was green lightend @ layer5-7 choosed the img and clicked "restore". after that the bootscreen was a commandoline with 4 penguins in the left top, which showed that it was not possible to mount the ext_sdcard then normal googleball bootscreen (took about 15 - 20 minutes to start). but then works fine, it has japanese keyboard (language is eng, hdmi works @ 1080) and is not rootable via tpsarky....

I noted that my device is a little bit different of yours, raeumler, it has 1gb of ram and 8 gb of rom. the second one didnt work for me

Raeumler, unfortunately in my these firmwares not worked, for the four penguins in the left corner of the screen and the device is restarting. If it worked in her, I should work on mine, because our devices are identical. I suspect it is something else that is causing this crash, or is making any wrongdoing, because I could not do the procedure with rkbatchtool 1.5, only the 1.6,1.7, and gave the same result. Does anyone have any suggestions of what is going on?

my device crashed after not mounting the flashmemory after lowlevelformat for a new rom (i got a normal linux bootmanager installed which doesnt worked, but formatted after that). the four penguins coming up when boot up first time only, now its real quick in booting. i dont know. i'm sure i used batchtool 1.5EN (with 'en' behind, dont know if there is another). my device has also a "andoer" brand....
