Do you know the origin of XBMC, and then Kodi?

The software was originally produced as a independently developed (homebrew) media player application named Xbox Media Center (abbreviated as XBMC) for the first-generation Xbox game console, and was later made available under the name Kodi (formerly XBMC) as a native application for Android, Linux, BSD, Mac OS X, iOS, and Microsoft Windows based operating systems. It is also available as a standalone version referred to as Kodibuntu.

I had it on an Xbox. It could play ripped games as well. It did everything.

Still have it on my old original XBOX had it out a few months ago, and still does as it did many years ago.
Also I think Plex was a breakaway from XBMC somewhere in the mix also.

And prior to that it was Xbox Media Player. Had both on my TSOP'd Xbox 1.0. Best console I've ever owned.

XBMC now kodi, which is open to more channels, such as netflix and youtube, that is called kodi-fully loaded TV Box, and i heard that people can get access to free resources that should normally be paid, but I have never see this point mentioned in the products reviews, Is that true as money-saving is not a bad thing .. .http://forum.xda-developers.com/android-tv/android-sticks/tronfy-mx-iv-review-t3122800
