    MK808b shutdown function

I read that unplugging the device could eventually brick it. Currently I am on stock rom. When I use the shutdown function, the screen freezes after a couple of seconds and nothing happens. Appartently this is a problem in the kernel?
I was wondering if on one of the finless roms this issue was resolved. I read that there is a different boot menu but I don't know if a proper shutdown function is included?

It have a power button in the notification bar and an apk to reboot and power off the device, but when it is powered off the blue light still is on. Its a kernel issue about bad configuration of power regulator, what is your device? if it is a mk808 with rk901 wifi chipset you can use customs kernels that solves it, but if you have mk808b no way to make the wifi work actually in those devices

is it safe to assume "most" apk that works on your android phone will work with these stick ??

because if it does ... there's a program called "quickboot" from playstore that I have used on my phones that will do the job
