Can not boot in recovery via toothpick or any other way from android.

Hi,

I have M8 Square amlogic. I have bought 20 of this and nearly 50% of the boxes can not boot into recovery. Following i have tried:

- Toothpick methode (Will boot straight to android)
- Tried flashing from Flashify App - (App crashes when i try to select recovery image)
- Tried from adb(wifi) Shell (gets error saying recovery partition not found)

I have a compatible recovery.img with me.

Please advise how can i create recovery partition. I am trying to avoid opening box. My ultimate objective is to install Openelec

Do a search on forums get amtools bootcardmaker extract the files use bootcardmaker to format a sd card and insert u-boot.bin file in zip. Then give it's a try with toothpick method with sd card.in amd see if it boots to recovery

just to be clear.

1. format sdcard with bootcardmaker
2. zip theu-boot.bin
3. try with toothpick method

just flash it via android ui Backup / Update
