Draco H3 Issues - Not ready for prime time

    Hi Folks,
I recently rec'd my Draco H3, and am disappointed with the "teething" issues with the stick.
    1) video o/p defaults to 720P 50hz, and will not display on a 1080P Tv. When I connect to a 720P Tv and change the video setting, the settings will not save in the memory when the stick is powered off, and o/p resolution switches back to 720P 50hz when the stick is re-booted.
    2) - download speeds are quite slow - less than 1/2 the speed of a MK808BPlus and Minix X5 mini when tested back to back in the same room. This is after adjusting the external antenna numerous times, and the best is less than 1/2 the speed of the other devices. Upload speeds aren't bad - they are actually pretty close to the download speeds, which is peculiar. I would have expected better performance with a stick that has an external wifi antenna, but that is not the case.

This stick also seems to run at higher case temps than an MK808B Plus that we use.

Kodi seems to operate well (TVMC version), and the OTA update (which I did) is a nice feature.

Right now it's not as functional as the original MK808B I purchased about 3 years ago.

I have contacted Tronsmart support but have not heard anything back yet (not sure if I will).

I know these are a new stick, so there seems to be very few posts on any site that I have come across ( a couple of postings on the Tronsmart forums which have gone unanswered by Tronsmart.

I hope this product is not a complete "dud".

    Best Regards to all.....

    Hi,

Use upgrading to 1080p firmware. I've used Pheonixcard method. Don't forget to change denisity from 160 to 240 in build.drop.
Also install SPMC based on kodi 15.0.

Yes wifi is very flaky, not sure if Tronsmart will address this. I think it might be a driver issue.

Let me know when you hear back from Tronsmart guys.

Can you PLEASE post your results from running tests from http://speedof.me site? Maybe it is my router setting causing very poor wifi performance.... I'm getting around 2.5mbps download results...and 4mpbs using my nexus 4 phone (dual band wifi)....

    Thanks.
