[Solved]flash mode or recovery mode?

Hello, I have a Polaroid rk3188 tablet stuck on android logo after using font installer app, so I'm trying to dump a working firmware from my friend's tablet (the same tablet) and flash it into my tablet using rkdevelop tool 1.37.

But the problem is that all the tutorials say flash mode.

So my question: the flash mode is it the recovery mode or not? if they are the same then continue if they aren't then tell me please.


so if they are the same then i have another question, after reading tutorials a have found two methods to make a tablet go into flash mode, so i want to know which one is correct.

(i know about the drives and how to dump and flash a rom thanks to finless, but I'm confused about how to connect the tablet to the pc)


1- tablet off>recovery mode(v+&power for me)>connect usb> tool recognize

2-tablet off>hold v+ (again for me)>connect usb(the tablet power on automatically)>recovery mode>tool recognize

so which one is correct?(and sorry if my English is bad)

Is there a hardware button to reset? If not, use method #2 and it would say on the tool if you are in loader mode, FOUND RKANDROID LOADER ROCK USB. Device will probably go dark when in loader mode.

so with reset, press reset button, then plug to pc.

Thank you ,i tried #2 method and it worked well, but not as i thought, the tablet doesn't boot into recovery mode actually it doesn't boot at all only black screen and the tool recognize it.thank you for helping me, and good luck helping others.

Did you try hold reset and plug method? Without recovery, you'll need another way to get to download mode.

Make sure you have the correct firmware for your device.
