Nextbook Premium 7 Kernel Source Code -- Help Me Get It!!!

I urge any of you who own a Next7P (or indeed, any other Nextbook tablet) to call your country's tech support number and ask them for the kernel source. The kernel, as you probably know, is based on Linux, which is open-source under a GPL v2 license. Therefore, the vendor is requred to either make it available to the public or to anyone who specifically asks them for it. I'm having a hard time getting anywhere with them because I appear to be the only one asking for the code. If enough of us ask for the code, they may feel compelled to throw it up on a website or ftp server or something.

The USA phone number for E Fun is 1-888-415-5177. Customer Service is option #2, they are who you should ask first. However, don't be afraid to branch out to other departments if you get nowhere, as I called accounts receivable and they put me in touch with the product manager, William, who at least understands what the kernel source is and why I want it. He promised he would call me back when he learned more. (I was given that promise by the customer service supervisor as well, but it never happened). My point is, though, that if enough people in the company are made aware that end users want this, maybe somebody there will actually do something to make it happen.

Here's the full info for US tech support:

    E Fun
    136 N. Grand Avenue # 148
    West Covina, CA 91791
    Email: [email protected]
    Toll Free Number: 1-888-415-5177
Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday 8 am to 5 pm PST (Pacific Standard Time)

Together, we can make this happen!!! Or at least give them a headache.

I'm disappointed that nobody has replied to my thread. Has anyone attempted to contact Nextbook or E-Fun yet?

I called/emailed E-Fun's PR firm today, and hopefully I will get a response. I'll post here if anything happens.

Meanwhile, PEOPLE, PICK UP YOUR PHONE AND CALL THEIR SUPPORT LINE AND ASK FOR THE KERNEL SOURCE!!!

Update: A little google digging led me to an article about Rockchip 2918 kernel source released by odys.de for their tablets, under LGPLv3:

Update 2: Found another! Kernel Source for the AndyPad tablet:

Doc or Finless, I hope you guys can do something with these! (Me, I just need my netfilter/iptables!)
