    Party Games for Android-powered boxes?

So, I recently picked up an Amlogic S805 powered TV box, and love it so far. Paired it with a bluetooth keyboard/mouse combo, and the thing is useful for way more than just TV (gaming, living room computing, etc).

I had a bunch of guests over and imagined it would be cool to play some sort of party game on it, but it seems that the standard fare of Android games in the market aren't really geared towards a TV interface. I ended up installing a SNES emulator and downloading a Wheel of Fortune rom. Man, those graphics are dated! Made me miss playing party games on the Wii!

So, I'm turning to you guys for advice. I know there's a gaming enthusiast thing going on with Android TV boxes, but are they limited to racing style games? Are there any trivia or party-style games that Android will bring to my TV? I could always go back to the Nintendo ecosystem, but I'm really enjoying Android more!

Since you are limited to one input method yeah you aren't going to get any wii like party games. Games I play are Family Feud, Find it, Guess the Song, Guess the Word, Millionaire and Friends, and Trivia Crack. Although you're not really playing against one another still fun to play with a group.

      Why only one input method?
My box has 3 USB ports and bluetooth! My kids play SNES emulated games using a BT gamepad and the wireless keyboard as controller #2. I'm thinking of picking up some USB gamepads as well as another BT one (I've succesfully connected 2 wiimotes to my tablet, pretty sure it can handle a couple of BT gamepads too), but I stopped when I realized I don't really have anything out there worth playing with so many people.

I understand that phones and tablets generally only have one input method, and that's why there are so few multiplayer local games. But its a shame because we CAN have better!

How old is SNES? you might as well start playing classic board games, haha. Anyways I guess I meant "Party Games" that could be fun for more than 1-2 people. In regards to tablets if your interested these are the games I play with my son. Checkers, Connect 4, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Yahtzee,Reversi, dropping monkeys, BGC, The Game of Life, and, Monopoly Millionaire.

          LOL-
I was just using SNES as an example of multi-input capable games. I'm actually looking for something more like Jeopardy, wheel of fortune, You don't know jack, trivia, etc, type games that a group can play in front of the TV with their own remotes. I would LOVE something like the Raving Rabbids party games from Ubisoft, but I understand that is even less likely to be available. The hardware is more than capable, but the games aren't designed to work like that since they are assuming a tablet or phone interface.

FYI, SNES may be old, but there are some great classic 2-player games that have stood the test of time... Tetris attack, Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario All-stars, and Super Bomberman all have great dual-player modes that are pretty addicting, and DKC actually has graphics that stand up to more modern consoles (despite being standard definition). But they aren't the party game types I had in mind, and yes... watching SD graphics on an HD display makes it feel very very dated no matter how advanced they were for their time (I might as well plug my Wii back in at that point).

Meanwhile, I found one game, Badlands, that supports multiple input devices for multiple players on the same device. Its kind of complicated to play, but the visuals are STUNNING and a perfect example of what we can expect for this hardware. I just wish there were other options as well that are more fun. Otherwise, we did play a few rounds of Perk Quiz (which is great because the points you win actually can be converted to CASH) but hitting the right answer requires someone using a mouse to move the cursor and click on the right answer. It definitely could be a better experience. Sigh.

Nice! These games look like fun! And good call on the Xbox controller thing. How does that work? What do you mean "one USB receiver"? Aren't they bluetooth?

Nope, the reciver use custom wifi interferance to conect to gamepads. Some controlers are bandle with usb reciver. Just google it
You need only one reciver as 1 suports up to 4 gamepads.

Just tried connecting some USB dance pads and seeing if I can get a dual player DDR/Stepmania thing going. Anyone ever tried this?
