MXiii WiFi wont turn on after update..... need some advice please.

I just bought two MXiii 2G/ 8G boxes. I decided to update one using USB to 115k4 now my wifi won't turn on. I have read and read I can't find any solutions and I have tried multiple versions ie 111k4 -115k5 with same results. I'm now trying to find a copy of the original .img file to put back on.
This is what i'm looking for.

Is there a way to get a .IMG copy from my second MXiii to place back on the 1st ????

Good luck, never heard of tanwei. Official ROMs are from Oman, who is tanwei?

I have no idea. That's why the post !
Obviously a different wifi adapter that's why version 111k4 -115k4 doesn't work with my wifi.
Still can you take the .IMG off of one MX iii box and place on another ???

You could do a twrp backup instead, and restore it.

Ok I'm back. After testing TWRP on my MX iii with the "original" firmware to make a back up I found it wouldn't work. They must have a rom lock or something on it so you cant get in. That was the same with the toothpick method. SOOO after some more snooping i found, on the E-Net the file that was originally on my box. I put it on and TaDa !!! WIFI is working again.!!!
Ill try to find the link and post it. The file is MX3-0525-2G I do have the file so I'll try to post it.

can you take picture of your box inside also more interested in the wifi chipset get close up and make the number clear or just post the model number of the wifi chipset

Yesterday I restored 115k4 rom from mxiii to mxiii-g using twrp. All worked fine, apart from no Ethernet.

So, I reinstalled original firmware and then backed up the boot and copied it to external SD. Then I wiped box. Restored mxiii setup, apart from mxii I boot, and then restored mxiii-g boot backup.

I now have working Ethernet using 115k4 on mxiii-g.
Might be useful for others, like op

I have an AP6234 in my Tronsmart MXIII I tried the toothpick method of restoring the rom Mr.Noodle posted and still don't have any Wifi though ethernet works. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I have same box as yours..same pcb board and wifi chip ap6234..did manage to get wifi running qith a different firmware..is wifi the only problem on different firmwares..here is my thread..pls.help..thanks..
