Bricked OTT M8 AML S802

I have a OTT M8 Box Amlogic s802, It is currently bricked. Nothing displays on the screen when trying to load any zip file I've found it displays the Android with his belly open loading the firmware but it stops a little bit over 1/4 way on the loading bar. I was wondering if anyone can guide me in the right direction I am using a 8GB SD card to load it formatted with FAT32 placing the recovery.img factory_update_param.aml and firmware zip on root and pressing the reset button when powering on till it displays the android guy. Blue light on box turns on when connected to power. The box power cycles its self when it hits the 1/4 mark. If somebody can please guide on how to revive this box I would really appreciate it.

Rename recovery.img to kernel.img, as this will elimate the need to press the button to get into recovery.

Try another rom.

What ROM can you suggest ? Is the box bricked or just lost the firmware ?
