Same here, the Play lacked the h/p to do lots of things. The Core should be more versatile in all regards.

I am still looking. I lack the time and knowledge for for constant Android issues I see with other boxes with poor support. Full Openelec support is big. I really hope the Wetek Core can handle most HEVC 720p /1080p files without issue. I need a box that can handle mpeg2 480i/720p/1080i and mpeg4 1080i/720p t.v. without issue.

The Intel 2957u mini pc using Openelec Kodi has no issues playing HEVC smoothly. The mini pc also has proper ventilation with a heatsink and thermally controlled fan which is sorely lacking from these Chinese boxes.
I watched your video, the Cherry Trail Intel cpu/gpu looked very capable for mpeg2 based t.v.. Software support for Win10 is lacking since it's new. I love Win7 myself. Openelec without issues on your new Intel box would make a great box.

I have been using my new Tronsmart Ara X5 Windows 10 box for a little over a week now, and I am more impressed each day as I learn more about it. It plays everything that I have tested on it so far. This evening I played my BluRay rip of the Dirty Dozen encoded in VC1 at 1080P and 23.976 frames/sec and it played flawlessly, (tried it on my Minix X8-H Plus, but it struggled and was not very good). Right now, I can say that this box has moved to my number 1 position now, it is not perfect, but very close. The only major flaw that I see, it struggles connecting my G910 Wireless Bluetooth game controller, so I have not been able to test any games on this box.

As far as these boxes playing the live TV streams in mpeg 2 ts format, all my latest boxes have no problem playing the 1080i or 720 streams. Of course the earlier boxes struggle with live TV, but not any more.

haba it maybe same box but its all about the firmware and support that wetek gives anyone can get 30 dollar similar box but will it perform the same no I don't thinks so will it get same support as wetek gives no I don't think so
