I got the DS4 controller and trackpad working with ds4drv :

    sudo ds4drv --emulate-xpad --trackpad-mouse

Then I installed this virtual keyboard called onBoard so that you can do everything with the DS4 from the couch.

    http://ubuntuguide.net/onboardenable...r-ubuntu-gnome

    sudo apt-get install onBoard

I have figured it out. This is what i did,

    1) open terminal window
    2) typed "cd /etc" (without quotes)
    3) typed "sudo nano rc.local" (without quotes)
    4) entered password (same as the one used for logging in the os that is "minipc")
    5) copy pasted the script for 1080p above the chmod 666 line
    6) pressed ctrl x
    7) pressed Y
    8) exited terminal, restarted the machine
    9) Voila! ubuntumate in 1080P resolution now

Update: Following Loboris's script, Audio is also working now

    Thank you so much, loboris

Beside: what can happened, when WLAN do not work?

I have seen in one of your posts mentioning to another user about getting super user access(?) for the file first, before going for editing. I have gone through google and found people talking about using either Nano or Vi to edit files through terminal window, but being total noob, i am struggling to proceed further. If possible could you be kind enough to shed some (noob-friendly) light on how to edit and save rc.local file? It will be of great help for this community with linux dummies like me.

    Thank a ton in advance!

Looks good, thanks for that, hopefully will get time tonight to update.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Ubuntu runs on the MK808B Plus after having switched from windows to linux 2 years ago. All computers in our house are on variants of Mint 17 and despite it been a windows centric world linux has been so much easier to live with. It flies even on a P4 machine and an old Vista era Dell laptop so have high hope for the little MK!

I made up an installation tutorial here to get Ubuntu on SD-Card and the latest Openelec 5.95.5.2 running from NAND :
I was able to get this image to boot on a MK808b Plus, but my issue now is that the WIFI doesnt work. This MK808b plus has an AP6212 wifi/bt chipset.

Your instruction for writing the image to SD Card
    Code:
    sudo dd if=ubuntu-mate-15-04-s805-standard-0_95_Beta.img of=[B]/dev/sdb[/B] bs=4M
can be extremely dangerous if someone has hard drive on /dev/sdb. It will be permanently overwritten ! You should emphasize that /dev/sdb is SDCard block device, witch can be sdb, sdc, sdd,... or even /dev/mmcblkX and must be replaced with the right one.
