Where is the kernel.img line? Where is the boot.img line?

This is a Windows XP system.
I was able to install the driver for the Minix Neo X5.
The RKAndroidTool "Found RKAndroid Loader Rock Usb"

    Please see the attached screenshot.

It even finished the Erase NAND successfully.

According to the instructions in the README FIRST file ...

    1) On the kernel.img line to the far right of that line is a little box. Click it.
    Where is the kernel.img line?

    4) Now on the boot.img line click the box ot the far right... Same as above.
    Where is the boot.img line?

    Pardon my ignorance.

I did re-download the ROM and this time it worked better.
        The prompts make more sense.
        Made some progress.

        Please see the attached screenshot.

But when I attempt to "Flash ROM", towards the end it shows ...
        ERROR: Download file failed
        ERROR: RUN failed

        What should I do?

This happens when your USB Cable has no good Quality.
Try to change Cable and USB Port.
Have you tried booting Up the Stick ?

I am using the original (factory) USB cable that came in the box with the Minix Neo X5.
Will try your suggestions and report back.
            Thank you.

I tried all 4 USB ports on this system. That made no difference. Got the same results.
Tried to boot up the Minix Neo X5 with an HDMI screen. Nothing shows on the screen.
Trying to look for another OTG cable but it is not easy to find.
Most of these OTG cables have the shorter tip which does not go all the way into the OTG port.

Yes, I borrowed 3 different USB to Micro USB Cables and tried it:
Cable 1 was for a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 phone
Cable 2 was for a HTC MyTouch phone
Cable 3 was for a Samsung S3 phone

In every case, the connector is not long enough (like the OTG) and it does not stay in, slips out.
So I physically hold the cable in the OTG port, then press the reset and power - still it does not get detected on the Windows side as the USB device.

(When I connect the original Minix X5 OTG cable, it does get detected. But it gives the errors indicated above.)

Is it possible to install the ROM via the SD card or USB stick?
                    (Without using the OTG cable.)

have you try to cut off a little bit of the housing from the Connector ?
Sometimes the Housing is to long.
                      Try this first.
