Nice to see a Wintel box with optical out and looking at those Crystaldiskmark scores it looks like a substantially large and fast SSD of some kind inside.

Not feeling the dual antennas at all. Love the metal casing though and HDMI + Displayport for dual monitors. Pricing should be interesting, I'm guessing 175-200+

MiniX will have to fix their pricing FIRST.. plenty of box makers FAR below them on price and INCLUDE support.. maybe not as much as they do, but how much hand holding do you really need if your an enthusiast?

        BTW, impressive SSD speeds!

I would think having an all metal case would require external antenna(s). But they don't do much for the look of the box.

First look at MINIX’s new Intel Braswell 4K Fanless Mini PCs
Following the success of NEO Z64, MINIX is pleased to announce two new additions to our Z-Series. Both models come equipped with different variations of the latest lntel Braswell SoC, Intel Celeron Processor N3150 (Quad core, 2.08 GHz) and the more powerful Intel Pentium Processor N3700 (Quad core, 2.40 GHz), share the same metal alloy casing and fanless design, and come pre-installed with Windows 10 OS (64-bit, optional).
Full specifications will be unveiled during IFA Exhibition in Berlin next week.

            Cheers

Bit of a story here not to sure how reliable there source is but if the price right, you are in NUC territory for sure

            • Design completely passive (fanless)
            • Almacenamiento interno 128GB M2 SSD (Toshiba MLC)
            • Ethernet Gigabit
            • Wi-Fi 802.11ac 2×2 MIMO
            • RAM 4GB/8GB RAM
            • Mini DP + HDMI outputs support 4K @ 30fps max
As we can see these models feature internal storage M2 which offers very good performance and also the128GB of space give us a pretty good margin to install heavy applications. As for RAM configurations we have 4GB or 8GB depending on our needs opt for one size or another. The inclusion of wifi ac 2 × 2 MIMO and support Gigabit Ethernet gives us good connectivity capabilities. On the other hand the video output mini DisplayPort and HDMI 1.4 are left in a 4K video output at 30fps.
The prices of these models are still approximate and according to our sources will be between € 250 and € 350depending on the configuration you choose. We hope to soon have exact configurations but the minimum price the N3150 model with 4 GB of RAM and all previous basic specifications seems quite interesting, of course these models are licensed activated 64bit Windows 10 .

$250 plus would be a price to be expected for something of this ilk.

It will be compared to NUC alternatives and inevitably the Nvidia shield.

It could have 10 pink antennas as far as I am concerned as long as they do the job.

Good point, and yea I just feel the need for two external antennas ruined the placement of essential i/o stuff. Im sure its gonna be a kick ass box though

Though neither offer any real description of this box, Gearbest is showing the box for $192.43. Geekbuying is showing $189.62. If true, your estimates are correct. But who knows at this point?

True, that maybe the Base price, then it will escalate quickly from there,
They are showing it off this weekend.
