Original Tronfy MXIV vs Tronfy MXIV Telos experience.

I am curious if anyone has tried both the original version of Tronfy MXIV running Android 4.4.2 and the new updated Telos version running Android 5.1 Lollipop, and could give some feedback as to any real-world differences. The hardware is essentially the same between the two so I figure it's most likely software differences.

I own the original MXIV and my main gripe is with KODI. When playing videos from an attached USB hard drive there is a constant studder, regardless of file type. It's bearable with most videos but worse with others. With some the video will freeze with the audio still playing. Streaming videos doesn't seem to have this issue. KODI is constantly being updated since I first installed it (originally installed version 14.2 and it's now at 15.2 RC), and very little has changed. I know version 15 has been optimized for Lollipop, so I'm wondering if it makes any difference. Is anyone else having any video playback issues with Kodi?

Also can you comment on any other interface/usability differences?

Since you said streaming does not have stuttering video, maybe you can try the advancedsettings.xml for Kodi first. You need to set buffermode to "1"
