OTG USB A Male to USB A Male?
I'm trying to update my SunChip CX-R8 firmware but I'm having trouble connecting it to my computer. The OTG port is a standard USB A Female instead of a Micro USB. I have tried to use a Male to Male usb cable but my computer wouldn't recognize it. Anyone familiar with this that could help?Tags: None

I'm afraid that you can't use a Male A to Male A cable via the supplied OTG cable or using any other USB ports.
You will need a standard micro usb to USB Male a to connect directly to the OTG port.
Luckily they are dirt cheap these days.

I have tried the english tool from http://www.android-warehouse.com/en/...ware-software/
and replaced the drivers with the ones from the link they gave http://blog.geekbuying.com/index.php...190455-150819/
No luck, still not detected. Tried all usb ports with a male to male otg cable on windows 7.

I flash it today and it was crazy, there is no exact tutorial. So i do my way, just steal from tronsmart.
1. Download http://www.mediafire.com/download/7j...hing_Tools.zip
2. Download flash image http://www.mediafire.com/download/ga...455_150819.zip
3. Extract and use manual Orion R68 updating instructions.pdf
4. USB port for update is that in the middle, on the side with two usb ports
I use standard USB 2.0 AA - Male/Male cable
Thats all.
But there is nothing important in update R8 Rockchip RK3368 2G 8G TV BOX 190455 150819 maybe next will be better.
