    Your ideal TV box design

Manufacturers have differing designs for their boxes and placement of ports and it got me wondering what the ideal design would be.

I quite like the now typical square box style that we see in many boxes but would like to see some changes.

Ports at the back would be HDMI, Optical out, 1 USB port for a generally static devices such as a webcam, AC power (preferably a universal micro usb type rather than the differing barrels that are more common), heat dissipation vents (where space is available)

On the sides I would just like to see heat dissipation vents either side.

On the front I would like to see all remaining USB ports, microphone/headset jack, microSD card slot and power button.

On the bottom just additional heat dissipation vents.

    What about you?

Personally, I do not like any connector on the front, if possible all them on the back.

I agree with that statement. I prefer no connectors on the front of these devices.

I like the idea of more ports on the front for things that will be swapped around more often because when you place these kinds of devices into TV cabinets etc it is so much easier to get to the ones on the front rather than to have to reach around the back fiddling about trying to get at the ports you need to access.

            Hmm..
I would use a PCB like beelink Vega..making sure..all the chips are/have the same height
Then squeeze it between two metal plates.. the top being a heatsink
