Yes. It was fixed after the box was shipped so you need to update the whole OS.

      Thanks!
@Ad0: You should be able to access the Example Short 23.976 and El Fuente 60 MP10 (60 Main 10) clips from the US Netflix using this DNS service (12 Netflix regions) which is currently free while in the testing phase.

I already pay for StrongVPN. But thanks I will keep this one in mind! However - why the **** are these not available in Europe? It's a good ******* question isn't it?

Yes I don't know why they don't provide those clips in all regions. Have you tried to look for the lesser known Test Pattern: Downscaling 2997fps 10Min which does the same thing?

I have seen some old APKs claiming to be modified to enable Netflix HD, is this true? Is any work done by someone to do this? I was hoping to avoid this whole bedroom science project thing by buying a finished product. It is unacceptable with SD Netflix

There are no apps to enable HD Netflix.
No work is done by anyone to enable HD Netflix.
It is a server side issue, the manufacturer has to get a Netflix server license to enable HD Netflix.
Only US companies has got HD Netflix licenses, eg. Nvidia, Google, Apple, Roku etc. and maybe 1 or 2 Chinese Linux boxes.

But the server gets some information from the device to identify it as a valid device. This is what needs spoofing.

It should also be able to handle the Netflix video stream with DRM.

Wetek got 1080 working on their core. Not sure if hacking / spoofing was involved or they actually obtained a license on their own but they did it somehow too.
