3D gaming - best ROM for T428

I'm running my T428 on the 4.1.1 ROM now & getting heavy into some GTA-III and Beach Buggy blitz and the 3D gaming experience seems to have gone down the crapper compared to 4.2.2. It's like whenever the game needs to make a bunch of A.I. decisions, the graphics pause until the decisions have been made. It seems very much a cpu bottleneck. So I'm wondering if all four cores are working.

I'm gonna go back to 4.2.2 again to prove to myself one way or the other, but if memory serves, this A.I. pausing poo wasn't a problem on the 4.2.2. Hate to lose the wonderful Netflix and Hulu of 4.1.1 but what can you do?

Yup! I just flashed 4.2.2 back onto my T428 and both GTA-III and Beach Buggy Blitz smoothed right out.

Something is wrong with 4.1.1 and it seems to be cpu related. Dunno if it's just clock-speed or poor multi-threading or something else. It does fine with a pure GPU test but in real gaming situations where the CPU has to work as well, it seems that the CPU just isn't performing up to snuff on the 4.1.1 ROM.

This is the best Gaming Stick I've used so far. It's better than the RK-3066 based stuff due to higher clock speed on the GPU but even more so because of the two extra CPU cores which keep the GPU better fed.

I cant get GTA Vice City to work. Just goes to a black screen. Running stock 4.2 on T428.
