How to add SuperUser control for rooted device?

    Hi,
I've just bought M8S tv box (amlogic s812). It's rooted out of the box, which is OK. However, there is no SU control for apps which requires root. It means that any app has root access without any notification. I've tried to install some SU tools (SuperSU, Superuser etc.) but it doesn't work, I mean they don't intercept root-access events. Is there any method to fix it? I don't want to change the firmware, it's just OK for me, however, I would like to have control over root account. How to do it?

    Hi,

The way your Box is rooted without the SuperSU.apk is based on the way that su run as deamon.
To change this you have to change boot.img or a sh file under system/bin or system/xbin.
Can you Browse /system/bin and make a Photo of the Files in there ?

      Hi Neomode,

In the meantime I installed Chainfire's SuperSU, and surprisingly it works now. I would swear I tried this tool but it didn't work as expected, but maybe it was just updated. Anyway, problem seems to be solved, thank you for your response.

      Cheers,
      Bogdan
