Poor Wi-Fi speed (R68 Meta 1GB LAN Version)

A lot of users include myself having poor Wi-Fi performance:
The signal is excellent while speed is very poor and unstable.
Speed test results getting between 0.5-10 Mbps which leads to a lot of problem while straming FHD movies.
Other devices at the same location getting 40-45 Mbps.

We are very disappointing from the product and hoping that tronsmart and geekbuying are working on it.

same issue its crap, ended up putting my nexus player where i was going to put the meta.
hope they find a fix for it

I've got the same problem on 4 boxes so far. One box keeps resetting the date to Jan 1st 2000. The people on the Tronsmart support forum are getting very angry about the lack of support and almost no responses from admin to their questions. They need to communicate with their customers and let them know they haven't been abandoned. The box works great with Ethernet cable plugged in. I have one other box that the wifi is working okay. All of my boxes are R68 Meta with1gb lan.

Have you guys checked the soldering on the antenna,When they solder the ground on it often melts the inner insulating core on the antenna wire & bridges the connection,Its worth checking

My router is xiaomi and the r68 is near the router. I connect to 2.4G wifi.

You guys said there is just 1-2mbps even it is near router. I am still on the 20150818 old stock firmware. not the newest. so i wonder why it is difference here. did we miss something?

and in order to find problem quickly, i hope you guys who have wifi problems can just tell us your device s/n which locate in the bottom of R68. something like this:
