Hello. Im very sorry about late replay. My findings so far:

-i have problems with video flashes thru my avr denon 1311. (image flikers sometimes).
-DTS TRUE HD not working (passthrough). DTS & AC3 works.
-x265 with multiple channels (aac 5.1) plays but no sound.
-on movies with nonstandard fps (video is jerky ) same as android kodi. On my mediaplayer with sigma design soc ,it plays ok.

Didn;t find this as a better alternative to android kodi.

Hope this helps a little, and again sorry for late report.

    Yours
    Mark

Not sure maybe, OpenELEC is very good so far. Clearer picture and great speed. Only issue is with 5G slow performance, 2.5 works fine and is fast...

To Xangt or does anyone know who ported this or a link to a thread related to it?

FYI I now have 3 MX3G's and I like them better than my Neo X8h+ its a quality box... Would love to get Openelec running...

Hi there, I'm new to the forum and these boxes in general. I have installed this openelec on an MXIII-G box and it seems to pick everything up including Network and Wifi. Everything seems to be working and playback is smooth. Haven't tried any 5.1 audio yet will try and get one and let you know how it goes.
Only niggles i've encountered so far are, Audio is played on both HDMI and SPDIF regardless of what is selected. Also whenever I try and shut down the device is restarts.

That S812 box would be awesome running OpenELEC.
I am looking to replace the xbox 360s when the Comcast mpeg2 switch to mpeg2/mpeg4 happens in Oct to Nov. I expect Comcast will use a mpeg4 profile that the 360 won't be able to handle. I have watched your videos of the box handling broadcast channels with 4 tuners and enjoyed them. The feature rich more powerful MXIII-G would stand a better chance if being able to handle everything I need it for. Comcast does some weird on the fly variable compression and switching frame rates of the stream. I record and watch cable t.v. series and sports much of which is not available anywhere else legally.

I might add the Xboxes are connected to a Windows Media Center htpc. I have Server.wmc installed testing a Intel 2957u box with Openelec- pvr.wmc . Results are good but the box is twice the price of the MXIII-G.

Fully working and stable Kodi 15.x on Openelec is a must for my use.
