    Q7 v10 RK3188 2GB 8GB New Firmware (168967) dated 04.09.2015 :o !

    Hi everyone,

    i tough we will never see another update for this box since every update i saw till now was from 2014.

    Anyways, the nice guys from geekbuying posted a new firmware:

    (Password: geekbuying.com).

    I tested the firmware this weekend and I think its as good as it gets with the good old Q7 V10. I don't know if it works with the V11 and 2342351234 different hardware models but for my Box it works flawlessly.

    Very smooth and fast. The only thing i had to do was to add/change this in the build.prop:
    sys.ui.fakesize=1920x1080
    ro.sf.lcd_density=240 (was 160 by default)

    Otherwise i would only get a quarter size picture in Kodi. So maybe its not true 1080p but 720p upscaled, this would also explain the high Antutu Scores i got with this (21000).

    But the picture looks awesome and the system works flawlessly (Comes even with Kodi and Showbox preinstalled ).

    So check it out guys.

          Mine isn't called q7v just q7.

          you change the build. prop by using root explorer or a similar app. it's basically a text file you can edit

            Is it the bluid.prop the only file do we need to modify in order to get this new firm works on a Q7V? Thanks

                No the build.prop is changed for the XBMC to work properly,
                I am not sure if this firmware will work for Q7 , most probably it will but not 100% sure since there are small diff
                for mine (Q7V), some firmware for Q7 worked some others don't
