1080P video streaming stuttering and dropped frames - T01, T02

Hello All,

I have T01 and T02 both. I have problems streaming 1080p videos in Chrome, Firefox, Popcorn Time. In IE streaming works quite well.

In Chrome, almost 50% of frames are dropped when playing HTML5 or flash videos in YouTube. The videos stutter a lot in Chrome.
In Firefox, almost 10% frame drop.
However, in IE 0 frames are dropped.

I have played around in BIOS, enabling the graphics boost and increasing the graphics memory to 128MB. In Chrome, also i have tried enabling/disabling HW acceleration, VP8 / H.264 codec. But no improvements.

Any idea on how to improve 1080p streaming performance would be really helpful.

You can use livestreamer + Open with Livestreamer firefox extension + vlc:

It's what I'm using on my debian jessie setup. I haven't tested Windows or even the Ubuntu live CD but those might be better in most cases. Especially, considering the old stable kernel I'm using has no sdcard wifi or audio support let alone any clocking optimizations and such.
Then again, it never overheats because it doesn't step up the clock too readily... Which is why I'm using it
