Out of of all the boxes/sticks that I have purchased, that little $35 MK808B Plus is by far the best of the bunch for me. It is my DVR backend, it is not even connected to my TV, it just sits there doing it's job. Sometimes I forget that it is even there.MK818B, T428, ATV 1220, CS918S, TV01, S89H, R89, ADT-1, MK808B Plus, MINIX X8-H Plus, Tronsmart Orion R68

I've seen it said many times, "RK3288 for games, AMLogic for video". If games are your first priority, an RK3288 may be for you. It it is video, then one of the AMLogics may be better choice. The RK3368 boxes look very capable, but it may be too early to tell how they will shake out.
I don't feel I have the depth of experience to recommend a box outright, so I'll give my opinion on one. I have been very happy with my UT3(RK3288), but as I said, my needs may not be typical. The box is fast and snappy. It plays what few games I have played, with zeal. Surfing is very quick. Video performance seems great to me, but I'm not a critic. Video performance was considerably better running Ugoos' 5.1 Alpha, but as yet no release-ready version has surfaced. Linux runs very well on the box. So too does Android 4.4. and SD bootable Linux . The UT3 or the newer UT3S is outside your planned budget. But cheaper 3288 boxes are available.
I have seen the following boxes on sale recently....NOTE: Not recommendations, just examples of type......
UT3S 2GB/16GB(RK3288) $100.90@Gearbest
Minix Neo X8-H Plus 2GB/16GB(AML S812-H)(I/R Remote only) $119.90@Geekbuying ---rumors suggest this box will not be getting 5.1.
Xidoo X6 2GB/16GB(RK3368) $99.99@Geekbuying
Nagrace NT-V8 2GB/16GB(RK3368)(I/R Remote only) $99.99@Aliexpress
All of these have Gigabit LAN, dual-band WiFi, use quality boards and components and are considered to be well supported by both their makers and their users. The S812-H and RK3288 are more mature and most of their shortcomings are known. The 3368 is still being explored.
Wanted to add, boxes with external antenna typically provide superior WiFi performance. Boxes with >2 amp power supplies will allow for more headroom when using USB peripherals.

Me personally, I like your delegating skills, shows leadership.
You better watch out though, shes a pretty good little reviewer, she might take your job.
Your faith in the S805 has had me considering an S805 box. I realize your praise is for the stick, but I'm a box guy.
