Why??? That box is too expensive to just run OpenELEC. I have that one buy I am leaving it stock. I run OpenELEC on the less expensive Amlogic boxes. Also, Kodi runs very well on Android.MK818B, T428, ATV 1220, CS918S, TV01, S89H, R89, ADT-1, MK808B Plus, MINIX X8-H Plus, Tronsmart Orion R68 -

I use the $35 MK808B Plus for my tvheadend PVR server and it works great. There is no doubt that the Minix will make a great media player and PVR/DVR frontend and backend, using OpenELEC and tvheadend.
I love my MK808B Plus running as my backend PVR.
