Second link ( AX88772 in "blue box" ) is correct. Ca. 7MB/s (yes, MB) stable with FTP (SolidExplorer) from my Zyxel NSA310 NAS, to stick external sd (Samsung 32GB Class10), with Linksys E3000 router. I tested on MK808, Imito MX1, MK802 IIIS, Measy U2C (Finless 1.7). With RD9700 this was ca. 0,7MB/s. Sorry for my bad English!
Thanks, but 7 Mb is VERY slow. Where can I get a proper USB to LAN adapter that works at 100 Mbps?

100 is only the max. port speed, not the real speed. But I write 7MB/s, not 7Mb/s! 7MB/s=56Mb/s. And this is stable, midle, not the speak. I tested with 1 large file (1GB avi videofile).

Sorry - I misunderstood. I didn't notice "MB" and not "Mb". I know 100 is only theoretical and I agree that 56 Mbs is a good speed. I bought a different adapter and when I tested it I transferred a 1 GB file in MORE THAN 25 minutes which is useless. I will try the one you recommend. Thank you.

I already bought 2 different ones and each time am hitting the 7 Mbps cap so I want to be sure before ordering another one. No-one seems to realize that full speed is 12 Mbbs and high speed is 480 Mbps so the adapters I got get nowhere near the 100 LAN speed.

          Thanks
          Hi All,
The second link adapter is definitely HI-SPEED. I am getting 65 to 95mbps on my 100mbps fibreoptics connection depending on the time of the day and number of users in the negihbourhood logged in at the time.

            Hi All,
This performance problem with the KY-RD9700 relates to the unit only being able to operate in 10Mbit/s and Half duplex mode on the ethernet port. I have observed through other devices connected to it in the auto negotiate mode that it will only ever negotiate to 10M HD. Which explains the performance of somewhere between 5 and 10Mbit/s max.
As my boss said, "you get what you pay for" . We sourced these units from DX.com, at around $7 NZ each.
