MK808B Plus Questions

Some months ago I left my MX1 connected to the OTG input as a power source for about 3 hours. It became so hot that I actually burned my hand.

When it cooled down it worked but started to turn off regularly and I had to wait for it to cool down to restart. In the last week it only ran a few minuted before closing down

So I bought a MK808B Plus and it is working well but I have a few concerns about operating it compared to what I did with the MX1.

1. The I push the reset button on the MK808 it does nothing, it does not reboot as the MX1 did - Is this normal?
2. When I push and hold in the reset button and connect the power cord etc (not to the OTG socket) it reboots to Recovery - the MX1 rebooted as normal - Is this normal?
3. Both the MK808 and MX1 boot to Recovery when I hold down the reset while applying power to the OTG socket - This appears to be normal.

Have I got a unit that has a problem?

I do not know what MX1 is. Nevertheless, for what regards MK808 B Plus:
1) Pushing the pin in the little hole does nothing I believe if device is operational, I never tried that.
2) Normal behaviour, device ready for flashing things from recovery.
3) DC current can be applied to OTG mini usb port to supply the device, if you want, even together with the normal mini USB for power supply ( if you intend to use your TV set USB for power supply and your OEM power supply failed and you have a phone power supply).
