    Bricked HD18Q V1.2

Hey, I tried flashing openelec to the device and the device's power got pulled about 10/20's in. The device will not boot from sd and it shows up in usb burning tool but error's at 2%. I feel im using the wrong image as i cant seem to find the firmware online. ID for it is KOT49H.20150814. Ive got exactly the same box sat here but wondering how i can dump the fw in .img format so i can try to flash it to the dead box thanks. Ive taken a few pictures of the board. The nand is a h27ucg8t2etr. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks B_E

P.S forums look great and hello everyone =)

small update, it appears something is happening with the sd card slot. As if i keep the sd card in while hooking it up to otg port windows wont detect the device. If i remove the sd card windows detects the device fine

hmm i seem to be getting nowhere, so ive ordered a 4 pin header for the debug port on the board...will use my usb to ttl once its soldered out see if i can get a reading. hopefully it will give me the ability to write something there

just another small update, given the errors of the usb burning tool i thought maybe the usb controller was not supported on my laptop. So i tried to flash with all the settings on 3 different machines today, new and old usb 2/usb 3. All failing on the same error. Ive been following other threads with the name nand as mine and trying the methods which got the back working. Im just wondering if the images im using are wrong but i dont think thats the case. But i thought it was worth an ask if anyone out there in the know could point to an .img version supported by this box? just incase im trying to load the wrong image. I looking about for more information about this state when you use the shorting method. Wondering if thats embedded into the nand itself or if thats something which a working bootloader handles. Im pretty new to this but ive got experience in embedded devices so. Doesnt hurt to ask a few questions to ease the pain =)

This one may be worth a shot https://cloud.mail.ru/public/7oSn/WunL7sMWW (DO AT YOUR OWN RISK!)

I have a different board to you (S805_MXQ_V03). Had very simular problems to you when using USB Burning tool...until I tried this firmware. Most firmwares I have found (Including Openelec) brick the device, with only recovery method being USB buring tool and that firmware. Use usb2 only to flash. No need to short pins if device detected in USB Burning tool. Good Luck!
