Hi, there is a famous spanish app called Yomvi. It is owned by the major TV comapny in Spain, Movistar+ (before canal+). The company has the rights for almost all the football, international matches and has the best offer for TV series etc. Mainly they send the signal by Satellite, and when you contract qith them, you get free acces to the Yomvi app. So most families with Movistar+ contract have an alternative way to watch the premium channels using this app. This is an introduction to let people realize how much important is for a medium spanish buyer to ensure this app works in his android box. In amazon.es there are a lot of complains about people who bought boxes and yomvi was not working. I tried it by myself, and talking about android 4.4 boxes, I may tell it works in Rockchip rk3288 devices, but not in the Amlogic ones. I tried this in a Q8 and it worked perfectly. After come investigation, I think it is caused by the media video codecs amlogic uses in his firmware. Most of the people who bouhgt the original M8 box got YOMVI working with the Finless Rom 1.6 for that box, so this rom has the trick to fix it. I do not thing it is a DRM related issue, I think it is related to amplayer and the amlogic firmware. For a potential spanish buyer, the vendor must give support to this app, because yomvi removed football from his app for SmartTV, and it is just working on phones/tablets. Anyone could please help me to investigate why the app does not work on the amlogic devices? And provide a fix? It would be a big push for the selling of devices like we like in Spain. Thanks!
