usb sound card

since we cant get 5 channels out of the hdmi, i m thinking of using an usb sound card. any experiences with any rk3066 models?

I think you can use any USB Sound Card, with 5.1 i never have tried it.

i went for a true 5 channel out usb card. if it fails i ll get one of these. i m not sure about the virtual 3d though

i bought an 7.1 usb sound card but the power can not drive the device. the settings app sees it as an audio output device though. will let you know further after i test it.

i use a terratec aureon 5.1 usb and works out off the box on the finless 1.8 rom.
Didn't try spdif optical out.

the usb device work well on 2 channels(on optical output). 2dark kernel would not let me select the usb sound device but the 1.7 finless rom did.

but it wont support the 5 channels with a ac3 test video. i used mxplayer with custom codec. any other software maybe to test out the 5 channel feature?

I have Behringer UCA202 Cheap and tested very well by some audio sites. works fine with finless 1.7 !
